Clarification Text on the Processing of Personal Data

Data Controller:

As Culture Unleashed Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi (“Culture Unleashed”), we value the protection of your personal data. For this reason, it is important to us that you read this text, which details which of your personal data we use and for what purposes in the course of our services and activities; that you acknowledge Culture Unleashed’s obligations as the “Data Controller” responsible for the administrative and technical security of such data; and that you confirm you have been informed accordingly.

Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) requires that individuals whose personal data is processed be informed by the “Data Controller” using such data. As the Data Controller we are also obligated to demonstrate that we have informed you regarding the personal data we process.

Processed Personal Data and Purposes of Processing:

The personal data processed by Culture Unleashed include: your full name, telephone number, e-mail address, and your visual and audio recordings (photo, video, audio).

These personal data are processed for the following purposes:

  1. organization and event planning,
  2. ensuring communication with participants,
  3. conducting post-event analysis and evaluation,
  4. carrying out promotional and informational activities,

in accordance with the personal data processing conditions stated in Article 5 of KVKK and the data processing principles stated in Article 4.

Recipients and Purposes of Personal Data Transfer:

In summary, we may need to transfer personal data to our business partners, public authorities, lawyers, and financial advisors. However, such transfers are made strictly within the scope of specified purposes and with your knowledge. Accordingly, your personal data may be shared:

  1. with authorized public institutions and official bodies, where legally required and upon request, for the purpose of fulfilling legal obligations,
  2. with our indirect partner to whom Culture Unleashed is contractually or legally bound, for the purpose of delivering our services,
  3. with service providers located abroad (e.g., systems hosted on Google infrastructure) for the secure storage and backup of data in digital environments.

The transfer of your personal data abroad is carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the Law No. 6698 and based on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the Personal Data Protection Board, and with all necessary technical and administrative security measures in place. Where the destination country lacks an adequate level of data protection, appropriate safeguards are implemented. Explicit consent is sought only in exceptional cases where such safeguards cannot be established.

Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data:

Your personal data are collected through:

  1. application forms,
  2. event registration systems,
  3. photo/video recordings,
  4. and communication tools such as email,

by automated or partially automated means.

The legal basis for processing these data is your explicit consent as defined under Article 5 of the KVKK. In certain cases, necessity for the establishment or performance of a contract may also constitute an additional legal basis.

Rights of the Data Subject under Article 11 of KVKK:

KVKK, grants you a range of rights to ensure control over your personal data, including (but not limited to):

  1. to learn whether your personal data is being processed,
  2. if processed, to request information about it,
  3. to learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used in accordance with that purpose,
  4. to know the third parties to whom your data is transferred domestically or abroad,
  5. to request correction if your personal data is incomplete or inaccurate,
  6. to request deletion or destruction of your personal data.

How can I exercise my rights?

If you wish to exercise any of the rights listed above, you may submit your request to us via email at “hello@cultureunleashed.io”. Depending on the nature of your request, it will be concluded as soon as possible and no later than thirty (30) days.
